These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EA Exam Prep mobile application and its related websites (together, the "App"), operated by Mastery Prep Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy and the Educational Disclaimer that is shown to you when you sign in and that you must accept to use the App.
1. Who can use the App
The App is intended for adults preparing for the IRS Enrolled Agent Special Enrollment Examination (the "SEE"). You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. One person may not maintain more than one account, and an account may not be used by more than one person.
2. Permitted use of study content
The questions, explanations, study text, flashcards, and other study materials in the App are provided for your own personal exam preparation only. You may not copy, download in bulk, export, republish, sell, share, sublicense, or otherwise distribute any part of them, whether or not you paid for access, and whether or not you modify or reword them first.
3. Automated access
You may access the study materials only through the App. You may not use any script, bot, scraper, crawler, automated tool, or modified or unofficial client to access, download, or collect the study materials, and you may not attempt to work around any technical limit, access control, or rate limit we apply. We monitor access patterns for signs of bulk extraction.
4. Account sharing
Your account is for you alone. You may not share your login credentials, sell access to your account, or let anyone else use your account to access the study materials.
5. Pricing, subscriptions, and promotional offers
Subscriptions
Premium access to EA Exam Prep is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Google Play Store (and any other app store where the App is later offered). The price, billing interval, and the features included in premium access are shown in the App and in the store at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same interval at the then-current price until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through your store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep premium access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods.
Price changes
We may change the price of any subscription plan, and may change or discontinue the features included in a plan, at any time. A price change never affects a billing period you have already paid for — it applies only from your next renewal. For existing subscribers, we will give reasonable advance notice of a price increase by email and/or in-app notice. Where the app store requires your consent to a price increase, the new price will not take effect for you until you accept it through the store, and if you do not accept it your subscription will not renew. Continuing your subscription after a price change takes effect is your acceptance of the new price. If you do not agree to a price change, your remedy is to cancel before it takes effect.
Promotional offers
From time to time we may offer discounts, promotional or introductory pricing, free or extended trials, coupons, or other offers. Any such offer is made entirely at our discretion, is available for a limited time and only to the users or regions we designate as eligible, and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time before you redeem it. We are under no obligation to offer any promotion, to make an offer available to every user, to repeat or extend an offer, or to honor a promotional price after its stated period ends. Unless we state otherwise, only one offer may be applied per account, offers cannot be combined, they carry no cash value, and they are not transferable. When a promotional or introductory period ends, the subscription automatically continues at the standard price then in effect for that plan unless you cancel before that period ends.
Taxes and currency
Prices are stated exclusive of applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout and may change. The app store determines the amount charged, the currency, and any currency conversion for your country.
6. Enforcement and inactive accounts
If we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account and revoke access to purchased content, without a refund, and we may pursue any other remedy available to us.
We also reserve the right to delete any account, together with its study progress, that has not been signed into for 30 days or more, or on which no study activity has been recorded within 30 days. We will try to notify you by email before deleting where we are able to, but we are not obligated to. Accounts with an active paid Premium subscription are not deleted for inactivity. Deletion is permanent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Ownership
The study materials, and the App's name, logo, and design, remain our property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership or intellectual-property right to you. Paying for a subscription buys you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the materials inside the App — it does not buy you the content itself.
8. Educational disclaimer; no guarantee; limitation of liability
EA Exam Prep is an independent, third-party study resource. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the Internal Revenue Service, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, PSI, any government agency, or any third-party review course or publisher. Use of the App does not guarantee passing the SEE. All content is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mastery Prep Labs accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, or for any exam outcome or tax decision made based on the App. The full Educational Disclaimer presented to you in the App forms part of these Terms.
9. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, and the Educational Disclaimer shown in the App, from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and ask you in the App to review and accept the updated version. New users are asked to accept the current version when they sign up.
If you accepted an earlier version, you may postpone accepting an update once: for 7 days or, if you have an active paid subscription, until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, whichever is later. Until you accept, the version you previously accepted continues to apply to you. After that, you cannot keep using the App without accepting; you may instead sign out (your account and progress are kept, and you can accept later) or permanently delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel it in Google Play to stop future charges. Renewing a subscription after we have notified you of an update is acceptance of the updated Terms.
Minor changes, such as clarifications and corrections, may be made without asking you to accept again. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect is your acceptance of the updated Terms.
